Dog Etiquette

Poco and I were out walking this morning when we approach a Mom waiting for the school bus with a Lhasa Apso on a leach. She was just standing there talking to another mom. The walking area was quite wide at least 6 feet. I kept to the side and Poco right next to me and this little female came after Poco yapping and ready to tear him apart. The lady pulls on the leash yanking the dog by it’s neck. Poco and I ignore the dog and keep walking.

Hey Lady ….when you see people approaching with another dog the smart thing to do is pull in the leash and keep the dog at your side! Dumb ass! She didn’t apologize or anything, just yanked the dog by it’s neck and continued yelling at it. Thank god Poco is at least a good walker and is polite when we pass people and other dogs. Goes crazy when the door bell rings or people enter the house, (until he knows it’s ok) but on a leash outside very well behaved.

Can’t help but wonder if she yells at her kids the same way she does the dog?
