Abandoned Beauty

A beautiful, abandoned New York subway station from 1904, complete with a chandelier. The platform and mezzanine feature Guastavino tile, skylights, colored glass tile work and brass chandeliers. The Rafael Guastavino station is unique in the system for the usage of Romanesque Revival architecture. It closed December 31, 1946.
